H&R Block and Birmingham Health Care to Host Free Sessions on the Affordable Care Act At North Birmingham Library, January 5


Free sessions on how to sign up for the Affordable Care Act, how the act will impact personal taxes, and more will be offered on Monday, January 5,  at North Birmingham Library.

Two groups will lead separate sessions on January 5 :
  1. Birmingham Health Care, a nonprofit health organization, will lead Affordable Care Act enrollment sessions on Monday, January 5, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The enrollment deadline for the Affordable Care Act is February 15, 2015.
  2. H&R Block will answer questions on how the Affordable Care Act will impact a person’s taxes, what exemptions are available, what tax credits or tax penalties are possible, etc. on Monday, January 5, from 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.,  and again from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. To RSVP for the January 5 H&R Block sessions at North Birmingham Library, call 821-3166 or email belicia.montgomery@hrblock.com. 
Birmingham Health Care will host another Affordable Care Act enrollment session at North Birmingham Library on Monday, January 12, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. For more information about the Affordable Care Act, please visit www.healthcare.gov or call Birmingham Health Care at 205-439-7217.

On Thursday, January 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., all H&R Block locations will host one-on-one sessions to answer people's Affordable Care Act tax questions. No appointment is necessary.
