Central Library to Host Citywide Resource Fair and 2nd Chance Job Fair on October 2
The Birmingham Public Library (BPL) is partnering with the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center at UAB (TRIO EOC) to present the Citywide Resource & 2nd Chance Job Fair. The event is also a celebration of International Day of Non-Violence.
The event will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the downtown Birmingham Public Library, 2100 Park Place, from 10: 00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public!
The fair allows the community to connect with organizations that foster peace and well-being in our community. Employees needing a second-chance at employment will get a chance to apply with potential employers, and nonprofits will have the opportunity to meet with potential volunteers.
Local organizations will address a wide variety of topics, as well as offer assistance with ID restoration, grief management, and voting rights restoration. There will be free health screenings, fun arts and crafts activities for children and adults, and giveaways.
