Avondale Regional Library is honoring Dr. Seuss and Read Across America with 3 programs. Today, March 2, 2023, schools and libraries across the nation will celebrate National Read Across America Day in honor of the birthday of Dr. Seuss . The beloved children’s book author was born on March 2, 1904. In May 1997, the National Education Association came up with a big idea to "Celebrate the Joy of Reading"- calling it Read Across America Day in honor of Dr. Seuss.
