Titusville Branch Library to host Titusville Senior Day Wednesday, food and diaper giveaway Thursday

Birmingham, Ala.-  Titusville Branch Library, #2 6th Avenue SW, is kicking off May with its monthly celebration of senior citizens in the community aged 55 and older by hosting its monthly  Titusville Senior Day on Wednesday, May 4. 

A day later, Titusville Library will host its monthly Titusville Community Resource Day and Community Food Giveaway, distributing free food boxes, produce, diapers, and women's personal hygiene products. Registration in advance is required. 

With Mother's Day taking place this Sunday, the Titusville Community Resource Day is adding a new component from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Thursday, May 5: a Titusville Branch Mother's Day Brunch. Drop by Titusville Library at #2 Sixth Avenue SW or call (205) 322-1140 for more details.

• Titusville Branch Senior Resource  Day, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4 

Held every first Wednesday of the month, Titusville Senior Day is designed to give seniors aged 55 or older free groceries as well as encouragement, acceptance, assistance, and other library services to assist them in leading lives of independence and dignity. Seniors can shop the Titusville Library for a variety of free items.

This day is open to all the seniors in the community and surrounding areas. In addition to those services, the UAB Preventive Diabetes Class and Titusville Branch Adult Book Club will take place at 11:00 a.m.

 • Titusville Branch Community Food Giveaway and Community Resource Day, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5 

Held every first Thursday of the month at Titusville Library, the Titusville Community Resource Day and Community Food/Diaper Giveaway distributes free food boxes, produce boxes and diapers, and women's personal hygiene products to attendees. In addition, Titusville Library is hosting a Titusville Mother’s Day Brunch this Thursday, May 5,  from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

 • Titusville Branch Youth Empowerment Night, Friday, May 6, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
