The free tutoring program at the Central Library launches today—and there are still spots available for your 2nd and 3rd grade students to get in!

Starting today, the Central Library is providing free literacy tutoring and homework help for 2nd and 3rd grade Birmingham City School students. This tutoring program ends on Thursday, May 4.

Students can receive tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. There will be no tutoring during intercession or spring break (March 20–31, 2023).

Tutors are from the Birmingham Promise in partnership with the Birmingham Public Library, and the tutoring services are free!

Spots are still available for the Monday and Wednesday and the Tuesday and Thursday tutoring service. You can register for our free tutoring program through eventbrite

Support for this program comes from the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. To learn more, read this blog.
