Dynamic Education Adventures to Present Fall Science Programs at Selected Branches Thanks to Hillcrest Foundation Grant

Dynamic Education Adventures visits the North Avondale 
Branch Library during Summer Reading 2015

Dynamic Education Adventures (DEA) will be at selected Birmingham Public Library branches this fall to show how science can be a fun, hands-on learning experience. These programs are made possible thanks to a grant by the Hillcrest Foundation. More programs are planned for spring.

Spooky Science
It’s time to scare up some spooky science demonstrations. This show is full of bubbling, oozing, and gooeying experiments.

East Ensley Branch Library -⁠ October 13 - 4:00 p.m.
Inglenook Branch Library -⁠ October 20 - 3:30 p.m.
Springville Road Regional Branch Library - October 21 - 4:00 p.m.
Ensley Branch Library -⁠ October 27 - 3:30 p.m.

Fun With Flight
Students will learn about the mechanics of flight including the Bernoulli Principle and pitch, roll and yaw. The groups will also learn about rockets and make their own straw rockets.

West End Branch Library -⁠ November 9 - 3:30 p.m.
Smithfield Branch Library - November 17 - 4:00 p.m.
Titusville Branch Library - November 23 - 3:30 p.m.
Five Points West Regional Branch Library - November 24 - 4:00 p.m.
North Birmingham Regional Branch Library - November 25 - 4:00 p.m.

Snowy Science
This program is perfect for a nice cold day. Children will learn about snow and see some demonstrations that are really cool and really cold!
