Titusville Library Hosting Community Food and Diaper Giveaway Today, March 3

Titusville Branch Library, #2 6th Avenue SW, is taking its monthly community food giveaway program once again to the next level to better serve patrons who live in the surrounding neighborhoods.

In addition to giving away food boxes and diapers, Titusville Library has added a new component to its monthly Titusville Community Resource Day. On Wednesday, March 2, Titusville Library hosted its first monthly Titusville Senior Day. This day is established to honor citizens in the community aged 55 and older.

National Senior Citizens Day is held annually (this year on August 21) to show love and appreciation for older citizens. Titusville Library desires to celebrate seniors in our community monthly by holding Titusville Senior Day to demonstrate our gratitude for all that older citizens have achieved.

On Wednesday during our first Titusville Senior Day, Titusville Library gave seniors free groceries as well as encouragement, acceptance, assistance, and other library services to help them continue to lead lives of independence and dignity.

This day is open to all the seniors in the community and surrounding areas. It’s a day for seniors to shop in the library for free items.

If you missed it, make sure to set your date for the next one, Wednesday, April6, a day before our annual Titusville Community Resource Day.
