Get in the Halloween Spirit Early at the Birmingham Public Library
Birmingham, Ala. – The Birmingham Public Library has plenty of free programs and events to help patrons get in the Halloween spirit throughout October. BPL libraries across the City of Birmingham are hosting nearly 40 Halloween activities this month, including 31 being held between October 16 and October 31. Make sure to be at the Central Library's Arrington Auditorium this Saturday, October 19, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for BPL Assistant Archivist Connor Marullo's discussion "Haunted Birmingham: A Talk About the Magic City's Macabre Past"
Dinner served at 6:00 p.m. with program starting at 6:30 p.m. Please join us for a night of spooky science as Ms. Jan (The Science Lady) presents an evening of "bubbling, oozing, gooey good fun" you will not soon forget! Tiny Book of the Month: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow- October 16-19, 21-26, 28-31
If you’ve seen the books in the Avondale Fairy Library and wondered how to make them, this is the grab & go craft for you! Our Tiny Book of the Month for October is a nicely illustrated edition of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. With our kit plus scissors and glue, you can craft your own tiny book. Kits are available while supplies last!
