Alabama Audubon Society and BPL Archives Host Birdwatching Event, Saturday, May 18

Birmingham, Ala.—Spring is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate the season than by embarking on an exciting birdwatching journey?

The Alabama Audubon Society, in collaboration with the Birmingham Public Library Archives, invites nature enthusiasts of all ages to join a captivating birdwatching and educational program on Saturday, May 18, 2024, starting at 9:30 a.m.

'Tis the season for outdoor adventure! This event promises an enriching experience for both novice and seasoned birdwatchers alike. Participants will kick off the morning with a leisurely walk through the picturesque Linn Park. Led by experienced guides, attendees will have the opportunity to observe and learn about the fascinating array of local bird species that call Birmingham home.

Following the outdoor exploration, the program will transition to the Birmingham Public Library's Richard Arrington, Jr. Auditorium, where attendees will gather for an engaging presentation on the Alabama Audubon Society. Discover the vital conservation efforts and affective initiatives undertaken by the Audubon Society to protect and preserve Alabama's precious wildlife habitats and by the Birmingham Public Library Archives to preserve the Audubon’s records.
