Brown Bag Program ~ Birmingham, 1963
Carole Boston Weatherford is a best-selling poet and children's author. Birmingham, 1963 is her fictionalized account of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing from the perspective of a 10-year-old girl. The book also offers tributes to the four young girls who died in the tragedy. Wednesday, February 27, noon.
