Birmingham Public Library Adds "Miss Humblebee's Academy" to Database Collection

A child and a parent are sitting together while the child uses the laptop. They are both smiling. It is an advertisement for Miss Humblebee's Academy

The Birmingham Public Library (BPL) is proud to announce the inclusion of Miss Humblebee's Academy to our database collection.

This digital resource offers free online preschool curriculum to prepare children for a successful start in their academics.

Miss Humblebee's Academy Can Help Children Be Ready for Kindergarten

Miss Humblebee's Academy, an interactive, online preschool curriculum, is free through the library. It fosters early literacy skills in children ages 3 to 6—setting them up for success in kindergarten and beyond.

This award-winning program prepares young learners for school with hundreds of guided lessons using videos, music, eBooks, and more. Kids will explore art, music, fitness, language, reading, math, science, social studies, and social and emotional learning. To ensure screen time is limited, 40 percent of the material is off-line and printable resources and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) activities are included.

Parents and caregivers can track their child's learning outcomes through weekly progress reports that are emailed and available online 24/7.

Best of all, Miss Humblebee's Academy offers a safe learning environment—free of pop-ups, ads, and links to other websites.
