North Avondale Branch Library's Black History Month Essay Contest Is Open Now Until Friday, February 23
Calling all student writers! North Avondale Branch Library is holding a Black History Month Essay Contest!
We want to know who is your favorite black historical figure. Tell us about their achievements and what you admire about them.
Essays should be no more than 1 page in length and should include the student's name and current grade.
Entries are due to North Avondale Library staff by Friday, February 23. Winners will be selected from the 3 grade groups:
- Kindergarten through 3rd grade
- 4th grade through 8th grade
- 9th grade through 12th grade
