Join BPL at Bill Harris Arena August 28 for Birmingham City Schools Reads to Achieve
Join the Birmingham Public Library (BPL) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, at Bill Harris Arena for the Birmingham City Schools (BCS) Birmingham Community Rally for Reading, a fun-filled family event revolving around reading. This program kicks off a year-long Birmingham Reads to Achieve campaign.
BPL will be among several organizations with a table sharing details about programs available to help students in Birmingham public schools read better.
Let's make reading a joy for our young scholars!
Event details are as follows:
5:00 p.m. - Warm Up Dancing with a DJ
6:00 p.m. - Rally for Reading Presentations
The event will feature:
* Dr. Mark Sullivan, Superintendent for Birmingham City Schools
* Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin
*Various Community Leaders who Support Reading
