Celebrate National Small Business Week by Learning to Navigate BPL's Online Business Resources

National Small Business Week is an annual event that celebrates and recognizes the contributions of small businesses to our local economy. In 2024, National Small Business Week takes place Sunday, April 28, through Saturday, May 4. This is the perfect time to highlight the Birmingham Public Library's online resources available through Gale Business that can help aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners succeed.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the Birmingham Public Library (BPL) will host a virtual training session on Zoom, Get Your Small Business Going with Gale Business Resources. During the session, we will dive into two of the library's most powerful research databases, Gale Business: Entrepreneurship and Gale Business: Plan Builder.

Gale Business: Entrepreneurship is a comprehensive database that provides is a comprehensive database that provides a wealth of information and tools for those interested in business management, starting a new venture, or growing an existing business. With access to a vast collection of articles, business plans, industry reports, and market research, users can gain valuable insights and make informed decisions to drive their businesses forward.

Gale Business: Plan Builder is an interactive tool that allows users to create professional business plans tailored to their specific needs. This user-friendly platform provides step-by-step guidance, customizable templates, financial forecasting tools, and real-time collaboration features. Whether patrons are starting a new venture or seeking funding for an existing business, Gale Business: Plan Builder will be an invaluable resource in helping them develop a comprehensive and compelling business plan.
