If you’re looking for fun, free things to help you get in a festive, holiday mood, 14 of our libraries across the city are hosting 80 programs throughout December.
We have programs, events and crafts for patrons of all ages, from holiday concerts to story time for kids, line dance classes at North Birmingham Library and Titusville Library and crafting for adults.

Getting the Most from Your DNA Ancestry Test
Central Library Computer Center and online via Zoom.
Many people will receive DNA test kits as holiday gifts, but most of them will never experience the full array of features and benefits that come with their test results. Paul Boncella provides an overview of DNA testing basics, a guide to setting up your account for full access, a preview of what you can expect to find in the results, and suggestions on how you can optimize your DNA ancestry experience.
