Springville Road Regional Library Kicks Off BPL’s 2025 Summer Reading Program with 38 Fun Events for All Ages

Throughout June and July, 17 BPL locations across the city will host more than 200 free Summer Reading programs for children, teens, adults, and seniors.

Springville Road Regional Library is offering 38 Summer Reading programs this year—2 Special Events, 3 All Ages, 18 youth activities and 15 programs for teens and adults. Registration for Summer Reading is available at any BPL location.

🎉 Special Events
• Children’s Health & Information Fair (Family Event)
📅 Saturday, July 26 | 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Join us at Springville Road Library for our Children’s Health & Information Fair! Meet local community organizations offering helpful information on health, education, and wellness for children from birth through age 18. It’s a great chance for families to explore valuable resources in one place.

• Bubbles, Sun, & Fun
📅 Tuesday, July 29 | 10:00 a.m.
Let’s close out summer with a splash! Try out a variety of bubble wands, create your own, enjoy sidewalk chalk and outdoor games, and cool down with snow cones.

Discover original hand-printed mini artworks from local artist Jessica Leitch at The Little Red Print Shop vending machine! Each relief print is hand-carved and printed—yours for just four quarters.
• Interactive Movie

• Reading Dragons
June–July
Read and grow your dragon! Kids earn a dragon card for every 30 minutes they read, progressing from egg to adult dragon. Start by signing up at the library.
• Spin Art Picture Frames

Use our spin art machine to design colorful picture frames. All materials provided. Families welcome.
• Pre-School STEM Lab

Hands-on exploration following a short story. Designed for ages 8 and under. Parent participation encouraged. Registration required.

• Stitching & Upcycling for Tweens

Learn sewing techniques and upcycle your clothes with artist Sam Roberts. For 5th–8th graders. Bring your own item. Registration required.

Recreate the Tour de France with the board game Flamme Rouge. Open to ages 8+. Must attend all 4 days. Registration required.
