Join us as Dr. Stephen Schneider looks at a historian's arguments for a "long" Civil Rights Movement—one that extends back to the New Deal and forward to today. Specifically, it examines the ways that contemporary historians and intellectuals continue to use civil rights language and arguments as a means of engaging contemporary historical events. Wednesday, September 17, noon.
