Teens Engineer BHM at the East Ensley Branch Library
The Birmingham Public Library's popular after-school program, Teens Engineer BHM, is back after a brief pause for the Easter and spring break holidays. From 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, teens interested in participating in the free program should head to the Inglenook Branch Library. On Thursday, April 5, Teens Engineer BHM will be at North Avondale Branch Library.

Teens Engineer BHM is an ongoing program that focuses on middle and high school students with an interest in math and science. The program is a partnership between the Birmingham Public Library and the UAB School of Engineering. In 2017 BPL received a $95,000 two-year grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham to expand the engineering program to other libraries across the City of Birmingham. In 2016, Teens Engineer BHM won a $50,000 grant from the UAB Benevolent Fund.
