The National Education Association highlights the Read Across program every year to raise awareness of the importance of literacy, with participation from schools, public libraries, and other community partners nationwide. BPL will have staffers and storytellers reading to children throughout Birmingham on Friday, March 1, and some branch locations will host Dr. Seuss programs.
