Interested in creating your own online course? Learn how at the Birmingham Public Library's (BPL) virtual program on Tuesday, August 27. Founder and CEO of her own company, Brittaney Jenkins will present this program on how to turn your special interests and passions into a rewarding educational online series that may even make you some extra money. 

In recent decades, advancements in computer technology have made online learning an incredibly convenient, cost effective, and popular way for students of all ages to acquire knowledge and skills that will help them achieve their educational, career, and personal development goals. All indications point not only to the continued popularity of online learning in the future but an increase in demand for more educational content and greater accessibility.

The program presenter is Brittaney Jenkins, founder and CEO of Jenkins Public Health Consulting LLC in Birmingham, AL. Ms. Jenkins has demonstrated her effectiveness as an online teacher while working for over 10 years in the areas of public health education, advocacy, and consulting. Prior to coming to Birmingham, she served as Director of Community Outreach at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She holds a B.S. degree in Public Health from Ball State University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
