Stop by the North Birmingham Library to see their new display celebrating Native American culture for Native American Heritage Month

Paeden Mapp from North Birmingham Library's Youth Department created this awesome display to celebrate Indigenous voices this November. 

Her display features both fiction and nonfiction books that earnestly reflect different native tribes' cultures and histories.

The Youth Department has two different Grab & Go kits that are available while supplies last. Each kit has information on what the craft is and how to assemble it. 

While these are not traditional Ojibwes' dreamcatchers or totem poles carved from red cedar, we hope that these crafts will engage your curiosity to learn more the native cultures here in Alabama

You can stop by the North Birmingham Library to pick up the dreamcatcher craft this week and the totem pole craft next week starting Monday, November 22. 

They also have a Thanksgiving place mat craft available starting Monday, November 22. North Birmingham Library has all the crafts to help decorate your home!
