Food is Your Friend!
Do you find yourself constantly worrying about your weight? Well, join the club!
As we get older, most of us struggle with maintaining or losing weight due largely to physiological changes such as increased body fat, decreased muscle mass, hormonal fluctuations, and a slow down in our metabolism.
But there is also a behavioral aspect to our body weight concerns. Yes, you guessed it...it’s our food consumption. Of course, food is a necessity and if it is consumed properly it will help to ensure that we are healthy and well nourished. Unfortunately, our eating habits can, and frequently do, become unhealthy and potentially harmful.
When we’re not eating right and our weight gets out of control, it is easy to see food as our enemy. But it does not have to be that way.
If you want to learn how to make food your friend, please join us at the Central library on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for the next installment of the Self-Care Mastermind: Community Edition 2025.
