Adventure Begins at West End Branch: Summer Reading Spotlight July 2024

 


Adventure continues at West End Branch Library, which is hosting 27 Summer Reading programs during June and July. They are among 256 Summer Reading activities for kids, teens and adults happening at 16 Birmingham Public Library (BPL) locations across the city. 

If you haven't registered for Summer Reading yet, stop by any BPL location to register for Summer Reading and get a B-I-N-G-O card for your age range and win prizes for completing it.

Real Life Heroes: Firemen – Monday, July 8, 10:00 a.m. 

 Meet the people who keep you safe during fires and medical emergencies and get a good look at their firefighting equipment.

Lego Building Project – Tuesday, July 16, 2:00 p.m. (teen) 

 Build a Star Wars X-Wing Fighter from start to finish using a Lego kit. The finished project will be put on display in the library. 

 End of Summer Reading Party Thursday, July 25, 2:00 p.m. (children)

 Enjoy food and fun as we celebrate our summer reading adventures. Essay contest winners will be announced, the “Adventure Begins at Your Library” mural will be on display, and the Lego models will be available for everyone to see.
