Central Library's Third Floor Remains Open While Undergoing Repairs

There is caution tape closing off a section of the Birmingham Public Library's 3rd floor to the public.

The Central Library's third floor is undergoing repairs at this time. The third floor remains open to the public with the Business, Science, & Technology department closed off to patrons.

The men's restroom on the third floor is currently closed, and we ask that patrons please use the men's restroom on the first floor.

Chairs and tables are still available on the third floor of the Central Library for patrons to use. If there is a book you are interested in the closed off section, please let a third-floor staff member know, and they can retrieve it for you!

This is also a great opportunity to try out the Birmingham Public Library's virtual resources, like Libby, Kanopy, Hoopla, and Freegal, to discover new books, films, music, and more, all from your phone or computer.

Thank you for your patience as we work on repairs so that the Birmingham Public Library can continue to provide the highest quality experience to our community.
