BPL Honored During Birmingham City Council Meeting; BPL Board Hosting Meet & Greet Today, April 25

 

BPL Executive Director Janine Langston, Board of Trustees members and BPL staff pose with National Library Workers Day Proclamation presented during today's Birmingham City Council Meeting. 




On behalf of Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin, Chief of Staff Cedric Sparks today presented a proclamation celebrating National Library Workers Day and honoring the contributions of the Birmingham Public Library during the Birmingham City Council meeting today, Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

April 23 through Saturday, April 29 is National Library Week , paying tribute to the contributions libraries make in communities large and small across the country. 

Today, April 25, is National Library Workers Day, recognizing the hard work library employees provide to patrons throughout the year. 

Please join the Birmingham Public Library Board of Trustees in the Central Library downtown at 6-7 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 25, for a Meet and Greet honoring the following:

* Kimberly Richardson, former President of BPL Board
 
* James Sullivan, former President of BPL Board

* Eunice Johnson Rogers, former President of BPL Board
