Happy Holidays from all of us at the Birmingham Public Library.

Fourteen BPL locations are hosting  80 plus free holiday programs and activities for library patrons of all ages. The BPL PR Department is doing spotlights on our libraries hosting holiday programs.


North Avondale Branch has several holiday programs for patrons, including Just Dance Club: Holiday Edition on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. Make sure to make North Avondale Branch Library's  Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 18, at 3:00-5:00 p.m. and close out the year by making family vision boards at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30.

Just Dance Club: Holiday Edition

Come join the fun as we dance our way into the holiday season.

Monday-Friday, December 9-13, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Holiday Coloring Contest

Students will be invited to color a holiday themed coloring page. Youth of all ages are encouraged to enter. Each of the three age groups will get a coloring page of varying complexity. Students can enter starting Monday, December 9 through Friday, December 13. W will We will give first, second and third place winners according to grade levels.   The winner will be announced at the December 18 holiday party.

Holiday Party

Join North Avondale Branch for a party to celebrate the holidays. We will have shacks, painting, and show a holiday movie. 

Monday, December 30, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Family  Vision Board Event

Join us at North Avondale Branch as families create vision boards to help with setting goals for the new year.
