2019 BPL Summer Learning Registration Is Now Open

Registration for the Birmingham Public Library's 2019 Summer Learning programming is now under way.

BPL is hosting more than 400 free programs for kids, teens, and adults as part of 2019 BPL Summer Learning between June 1 and early August.

Many of the programs are designed to help students on break from late May through early August avoid “summer learning loss," a phrase referring to when students lose knowledge gained during the preceding school year.

BPL’s website has a 2019 Summer Learning online calendar of events for kids, teens, and adults, and links to reading lists including Hoopla. Click here for details.

You can download the Beanstack app to track the number of minutes of books you read. BPL thanks the Alabama Power Foundation for its generous support of our Summer Learning programs. Other sponsors include Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Rally’s, The City of Birmingham Division of Youth Services, and the Birmingham Legion.
