"Living Lively: 80 Plant-Based Recipes to Activate Your Power & Feed Your Potential" is a very powerful and thought-provoking read.
Author Haile Thomas, only 19 but a Vegan for six years, is very methodical in her approach to wellness for the body and the soul. The book is saturated with golden nuggets of wisdom on how to care for your whole self through physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual wellness and much more.
Not only are there many delicious, plant-based recipes that will leave you salivating, but there is also information that enriches the mind and feeds the soul.
There is also information on the importance of rest, exercise, skin care, learning from our experiences and exposing ourselves to new ideas.
I was really impressed with the journal sections provided to capture your thoughts, feelings, and what you’re grateful for. Such a comprehensive work- I love everything about it!
So if you’re looking to feel empowered physically, emotionally, and spiritually, look no further than Living Lively, located at the Birmingham Public Library in the Business, Science and Technology Department.
