Pac-Man was designed by Toru Iwatani and released in Japan on May 21, 1980, which means this May will be the 41st anniversary of the game.
Within one year of its release, Pac-Man had been played on 100,000 machines each week!

Also, if you don’t have a Pac-Man game, don’t worry! You can play it on Google.
Pac-Man was a creative and innovate idea that was a huge success.
At the Birmingham Public Library, we want to encourage the same creativity and skill in the children and teens that visit us through reading and programs like Engineers BHM, which introduces students to coding, game design, and other STEM concepts.
So, be inspired and munch on some knowledge and imagination with a new book!
