Birmingham Public Library-Dannon Project Hosting Civic & Wellness Fair on June 2

When: Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Details: Free health screenings, social services, haircuts, and more. Vendors available offering access to clothing, housing assistance, employment assistance, healthcare services, transportation assistance, and more. Lunch will be provided.
Do you want to get a free health checkup, gain access to numerous healthcare resources, and receive information from community agencies about the different services they can offer you?
The Dannon Project and the Birmingham Public Library are co-hosting the 2021 Civic and Wellness Fair on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The event, taking place from 10:00am to 3:00 pm at the Central Library, will include numerous vendors from across Birmingham and Jefferson County who offer services that include access to food, access to clothing, housing assistance, employment assistance, healthcare services, transportation assistance, volunteer opportunities, and so much more!
The Civic and Wellness Fair will include services such as:
-General Health Screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose testing, BMI, etc.)
-Vision Screenings
-Dental Screenings
-Haircuts
-Information from community agencies about services they offer
-Bicycle repairs
There will also be hygiene products, snack bags, and bus passes available at no charge while supplies last.
Lunch will be provided by Community Kitchens. The event is free and open to the public!

BPL and the Dannon Project hosted a Wellness and Health Fair in March 2019 and had another scheduled for 2020 that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
