Food Truck Roundup Returns At Central Library Thursday, June 9

Food Truck Summer Roundup flyer for June 9 at Central Library

After a short hiatus, the Birmingham Public Library's Summer Food Truck Roundup is back on track to take place this Thursday, June 9!

We'd like to point out that the lapse in this yummy summer event was due to a 1) an inaccurate weather forecast, frightening away the scheduled food trucks (except for one*) on Thursday, May 26, and 2) a well-attended resource fair that took up the Central Library's entire parking lot on Thursday, June 2.

Among the vendors scheduled to participate in the BPL's Food Truck Roundup this Thursday are two newcomers to the event...

Chef Paulette Bice Howard, owner of Betty Jean's Food Hut, will offer up her own delicious version of barbecue ribs, creamy coleslaw, Polish sausage, hamburgers, and corn tacos to be accompanied by an assortment of side dishes...

We look forward to welcoming back the following food trucks as well...

Proceeds from this program help fund the BPL's new Bookmobile. We hope to see you tomorrow!

*We would like to commend Josh Chelette of Repicci's Italian Ice & Gelato, for braving the false thunderstorm forecast on Thursday, May 26, and for being the only food truck on our lot that day. Many of us discovered that Italian gelato suffices as a delectable lunch!
