There's a lot to stress about in the world right now. At North Birmingham Regional Branch Library, you can gather the tools you need to manage what life throws your way.

Join us for Stress Support every Monday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. to talk in a group setting led by a certified counselor. You'll have the opportunity to express your emotions and talk about any issue weighing on your mind. This program is hosted by New Life Seventh Adventist Church and takes place in the North Birmingham Library conference room.

Our new program Stop, Drop, and Breathe offers a guided meditation session every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the meeting room. Stay for just a few minutes or the entire session to reap the full benefits of calm, mindful meditation.

If you're not in the mood to talk it our nor are you a big fan of meditation, you can try a different approach to stress-relief: solving puzzles.

Not only can puzzles take your mind away from your stressors, they also have the added benefit of improving brain health. You can find a variety of themed crossword and word search activity sheets in the adult department every month. Fall-themed puzzles will be available for the entire month of September.
