East Ensley Branch Library Expanding to Monday-Friday Hours Starting Today, Monday, March 4

Birmingham, Ala. - Good news for Birmingham Public Library patrons in Ensley: East Ensley Branch Library is expanding to Monday through Friday operating hours starting at 9:00 a.m. today, Monday, March 4, 2024.
East Ensley Branch is located at 900 14th Street Ensley. The library will now be open to the public from Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
"I am excited for East Ensley to open five days a week because it increases our ability to serve and meet the needs of our community," said Kenyata Rodgers, Branch Manager of East Ensley Library. "My desire is that people in the area recognize our library as a consistent space where they can find a welcoming environment Monday through Friday to connect with others and grow together."
East Ensley Library opened its doors in 1965 to serve Moore Elementary School, Councill Elementary School, Western-Olin High School and the neighborhood. In 1995, East Ensley Branch Library was renovated.
Mondays through Fridays 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
