If you’re looking to save some money, check out many of the DIY resources that are available at the library! The library has an incredible amount of resources that are available in print and online.

For small repairs around the house, or if you’re looking to improve your home or apartment, take a look at a few of these books available at branches throughout Birmingham. These books can provide how-to instruction for the moderately handy and give you many creative ideas on making your house or apartment look its best.

Another great resource that is available online to library patrons is ChiltonLibrary. If you have a small repair to make or it's time for maintenance on your vehicle, ChiltonLibrary can save you money. It provides exclusive “photographs, diagnostics designed by instructors, step-by-step repair procedures, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance schedules, wiring diagrams, recalls and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for automobiles and light trucks.”
