Enjoy an insightful family story and tasty BBQ pork sliders with Van Sykes at the Central Library from 12:00—1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.
Van Sykes, the second-generation owner of Bessemer's Bob Sykes Bar-B-Q, and author Niki Sepsas will be at the Central Library for a book discussion and signing of From the Pit to the Plate: The Story of Bob Sykes Bar-B-Que by Niki Sepsas. Sykes and Sepsas will briefly discuss the book and serve free BBQ pork sliders for patrons to enjoy.
Books will be available to purchase for $30 at the library.
