Ghost Train Brewing
Ghost Train Brewing Company was founded in 2014 by Taylor and Paige DeBoer. The business began operating in 2015, and in October of 2016, Ghost Train opened its own brewery and tap room on 3rd Avenue South. Ghost Train doubled its brewing capacity with the addition of larger tanks, an in-house canning line, and a small distillery.
In February of 2022, Ghost Train opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art brewery in the M2 development located at 3501 1st Avenue South. The new location hosts Alabama’s first and only high-efficiency brew system, in addition to multiple bars, a beautiful outdoor space, and an event space/music venue that can hold up to 1,000 patrons. Ghost Train encourages you to check out its new space and its many amazing beers and cocktails!

United-Johnson Brothers of Alabama
United-Johnson Brothers of Alabama was born in 2010 when two companies, MBC/United and Johnson Brothers Wine of Alabama, merged to form United-Johnson Brothers of Alabama. MBC/United was a subsidiary of the family-owned United Distributors in Georgia, and Johnson Brothers Wine of Alabama was a family-owned subsidiary of Johnson Brothers Minnesota. The merger combined the compatible portfolios of two of the largest beverage distributors in Alabama.
The combined experience of United-Johnson Brothers of Alabama's two parent companies and families spans more than a century. The merger officially established United-Johnson Brothers as the largest beverage distributor in Alabama, with operations in Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile. The merger gave UJBAL a unique opportunity to service the entire state, unlike any other distributor at the time. Today, UBJAL continues to be a leader and innovator in the beverage distribution industry.
A selection of fine wines from United-Johnson Brothers' impressive portfolio will be featured at A Novel Tasting.
Redmont Distilling Company
Redmont Distilling Company is located in Birmingham, Alabama's Avondale community, and began distilling Redmont Vodka and Vulcan Gin in small batches at its Birmingham distillery in 2015. The company was excited to welcome Alabama native, Charles Barkley, as a majority owner in August of 2019. Charles had wanted to invest in a business in his home state of Alabama for a long time, and Redmont Distilling Company presented a great opportunity for him to be a part of the Birmingham business community. Redmont Distilling Company produces premium 8x-distilled, gluten-free, non-GMO Redmont Vodka. It is 100% neutral, free from any harsh aftertaste, and has a smooth finish.
