What: Citizen Services – "Social Workers at the Birmingham Public Library"
Where: At the following library locations: Avondale, Central, East Ensley, East Lake, Eastwood, Ensley, Five Points West, Inglenook, North Avondale, North Birmingham, Springville Road, Woodlawn
When: Wednesdays October 2–December 18, 2019, at Central Library (East Building/Social Sciences Department/3rd floor), 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.; and at select branch locations, 2:00–5:00 p.m. Note: There will not be a consultation scheduled Wednesday, November 27, at any BPL location.

The Birmingham Public Library is partnering with The Dannon Project to provide face-to-face social worker consultations at select BPL locations.
The social worker will be available Wednesdays from October through December 2019 to assist the public with issues such as drug abuse, mental health, legal referrals, healthcare, homelessness, domestic violence, and more. Check the BPL events calendar for dates and times.
At every consultation, a representative from One Roof will be at the Central Library along with the social worker to help people with housing needs. To find out when One Roof will be at a Birmingham Public Library location other than Central, please contact that location.
