The Adventure Continues at West End Branch Library with our spotlight on their Sumer Reading 2024 programs! The Birmingham Public Library (BPL) has 256 Summer Reading programs planned for this summer for all patrons to enjoy. 

If you haven't registered for Summer Reading yet, stop by any BPL location to register for Summer Reading and get a B-I-N-G-O card for your age range and win prizes for completing it.

Mixed Ages Programs 

Painting
Thursday, June 20 | Starts at 4:00 p.m.

This program is for teens and adults. Pick up your paintbrush and let the colors flow as you paint a design on canvas. All materials will be provided. Registration required; call West End Library at 205-226-4089 to register for this event. 

Youth Programs

WE Craft—STEM
Wednesday, June 12 | Starts at 2:00 p.m.

The anatomy of our hands is complex and intricate, moving in ways other body parts can't. Make a robotic hand model that will show how the bones, muscles, and tendons allow us to move each finger separately or all together at the same time.

Jigsaw Puzzle Competition
Thursday, June 20 | Start at 10:00 a.m.

Do you love to assemble jigsaw puzzles? Grab a couple of friends to participate. Your team of 2-3 players will have one hour to assemble a 300-piece puzzle. The team who is the closest to finishing at the end of hour wins! Visit the circulation desk to register your team of at least two members before the event. This program is for youth up to teenagers.
