Celebrate Mother's Day at BPL: Mother's Day Brunch at Titusville, Storytime at N Avondale, Pratt City Bingo, Cards at 5 Points West, Southside & West End

The Birmingham Public Library is helping patrons celebrate Mother's Day all week long. 

Activities include a special Mother's Day brunch at Titusville Branch Library this Thursday, May 11, and Mother’s Day Storytime and crafts at North Avondale Branch Library on Thursday and Friday, May 11-12. Patrons can also make cards for moms this week at Five Points West Regional Library, Southside and West End Libraries. Pratt City Branch is hosting Mother’s Day crafts and bingo from Monday through Friday. And Woodlawn Branch has a Mother’s Day display featuring books and other library materials that make mom feel special.

Titusville Branch Mother's Day Brunch, Thursday, May 11, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Spring is in the air! The sun is shining, but Mother’s Day is just around the corner! What places should you take her to? How do you tell her how much you love her? You might be still asking yourself these questions, but don’t you fret, I have the answers, and it all begins with… Mother’s Day Brunch! Drop by Titusville Branch on Thursday, May 11. Create Mother's Day Cards, Friday, May 5 – Thursday, May 11, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Mother's Day Storytime and Crafts, 3:00 p.m. on Thursday-Friday, May 11-12  
 
North Avondale Branch will host a Mother's Day-themed Storytime followed by crafts at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, n May 11th and Friday, May 12. Participants will get to listen to a story celebrating mothers and then create Mother's Day cards using sponge paint.  Mother’s Day Special Delivery, Monday through Friday, May 8 – 12, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Kids are invited to our craft table for a week of creativity focused on Mother’s Day. We’ll spend time making a gift to express love and to honor the special women in our lives this year. Supplies will be provided.

Mother’s Day Bingo, May 12, 10:00 a.m. 

Join us for some Mother’s Day bingo and other fun activities in celebration of this special day.





Create a Mother's Day Card Friday, May 5 – Thursday, May 11, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.,

Create a Mother's Day Card using paper, crayons, markers, and more.

This activity is a fun way for kids to recognize their mother on Mother's Day.
