Titusville Library Senior Community Resource Day: Expanding the Circle of Support

Since its inception, the Titusville Branch Community Resource Day has been a beacon of hope for many families facing financial hardships, food insecurity, and limited access to crucial resources. A positive impact has been made on countless lives through the provision of information, health services, facials, manicures, food, and children's/adult diapers throughout the years.

The Titusville Branch Senior Community Resource Day, held monthly at Titusville Branch Library,  has been serving the local community for the past two years, providing essential information resources, and support to those in need. In November, Titusville Branch Community Resource Day will be bigger and better than ever before. With the addition of two resources, a free farmers market, and free senior adult diapers, this event will become a lifeline for many families and individuals in need.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at #2 6th Avenue Southwest, Birmingham, AL 35211. Please share this information with your friends and family so we can reach as many people as possible.

Among the services we will provide:

Food assistance:

Food security is a major concern for many families in our community. As part of the Titusville Branch Community Resource Day, bags of groceries and fresh produce will be distributed to those in need of assistance. Assisted by local food banks and volunteers, this year's food distribution promises to be even more extensive.

Adult Diaper Distribution:

Diaper distribution is a crucial step toward supporting families with aging parents. Titusville Branch Community Resource Day is a testament to the power of community collaboration. This month's event promises to have a broader impact than ever before as new services and resources have been added. Titusville will continue to foster social cohesion through promoting civic engagement.

Should one find themselves in a position of food insecurity, struggling with unemployment, or simply in need of information and support, the library can assist.
